Music City Singles asked the Twitterverse where to sit if going to a Preds game on a date. Here’s what we got…

codeyh @musiccitysingle I sit at the very top of 303, cheapest seats in the house. And they're not bad. Depends on what you want to spend.

PredFans pwnicholson: @musiccitysingle Find a season ticketholder and ask for their Ambassdor's Club page. Get a good discount & no ticketmaster #nhl

codeyh @musiccitysingle You can get discounts on Preds tickets here - http://bit.ly/NUHg (Discount straight from the Preds)

Music City Singles asked the Twitterverse which restaurant in Nashville to visit on a first date. Here’s what you had to say…

timTech @musiccitysingle Amerigo, F. Scott's (pricey but good live jazz), Boundry (next to Vander), Mellow Mushroom (even closer to Vander)

thejeffbrown @musiccitysingle Cajun Steamer in Cool Springs? If she fusses & gets all prissy about not liking this & that (which I cnt stand), well...

timTech @musiccitysingle Giovanni Ristorante, Broadway Brewhouse & Mojo Grille (great beer selection)

showingmyassets @musiccitysingle I like the Midtown Cafe for a first date. Nice atmosphere there and very impressive as it is not too large.

timTech @musiccitysingle San Antonio Taco Co (very casual and a good spot for a lunch date), Miro District Food & Drink, Layl' A Rul

jessicawritesUmmm just realized that my dress is totally on backwards -- 4 1/2 hours after being at work. Smacks myself in the head.

tearsofashI always hear different women yelling at our neighbor. I wonder what he does to piss 'em off?

NashLifestylesLooking for the best SUSHI in Nashville? We've got it covered - http://tinyurl.com/dxrnv4

ware@musiccitysingle just read about Cuban boy, unfortunately i laughed out loud trying to imagine that phone conversation =P people are crazy

Mailbag:

From Jeffrey Lee Knighton:

Starts out just meeting a group of friends at the flying saucer. A new friend came along who was attractive. We talk and leave immediately to go honky tonking on Broadway. I was invited to come over so of course I accepted. Though I do smoke, I hate doing it in households mind you, Especially in bed. Well first this young lady would not stop with the chatter, but most of all the smoking, right in the face. We move from talking to other things and I was again happy with the night, but all the sudden what do I smell during the “non talking phase” - CIGS, smoking during, well…… Gross. Now that this one is friends with friends and all that it should be a fun situation to deal with.

Sex and Music City

Last night I was out and about talking to people about the new website. I inroduced myself to a group of people at the Red Door Saloon in Midtown--which is an awesome establishment (shameless plug). I went around the circle asking everyone their occupation. They ranged from surgeon to childrens' book author to someone recently unemployed by the music industry. Each person was totally unique, except they all shared something in common, their friendship and their relationship status (single).

When the circle made it back around to me, they asked what I do. "I'm a business owner," I said. They quickly became curious as to what businesses I owned, I explained my success with Micro Patrol and CrucialSolutions and told them that I had just started a new venture, Music City Singles. The girls, especially, became curious. They wanted to know what the site was all about. So I explained that it was a forum for writers to exchange experiences, ask questions, learn about new venues and events throughout the town.

Almost immediately, one of the girls said, "Oh My God! It's just like Sex and the City! I am so writing for you!" I told her that there wouldn't be any compensation up front, but she just loved the idea of being able to write and share her experiences. We had a great conversation and I supplied all of the information they needed to get started. If you feel like Carrie Bradshaw and want to express your frustration with men, or if you're Big and you want a chance to defend yourself, send us an e-mail. We'd love to get you started so we can make this website as interesting as we hope it will someday be. We hope to hear from you soon!

Lights, Camera, Music Videos Galore

One of the greatest adventures of living in Music City is certainly the music industry. Living downtown you never know who or what you are going to see. Right now I'm sitting inside Dunn Bros. Coffee in the L&C Tower downtown. Right on the sidewalk are three women sitting on a bench and across the street is an entire film crew pointing their cameras this way from outside the door of the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown.

There is just something exciting about walking to work, or lunch and walking through the set of a production that will undoubtedly appear on CMT or GAC within a matter of weeks. I assume that living in Los Angeles would afford the same opportunities. However, there is this special charisma about this city. No one bothers the film crew, no one harasses the stars, they just go about their business because the people in this small town understand the industry and the work that has to be done.

Just the other day I was watching CMT Pure with a few friends and we were trying to guess where all of the music videos were shot. Only a few of them were shot outside the city, and most of the videos that we recognized were shot at common places that we all visit throughout our day to day lives. In fact, right now where we work we are producing a low budget music video to promote our product and this fair music city.

Are you in the music industry? Have you ever appeared in a music video? What is your favorite music video shot in Nashville?

I'm not sure if you've seen "Don't" by Billy Currnington--if you haven't, definitely check it out. However, the entire video was shot in downtown Nashville, and the majority of it in my apartment building. There is just something about the excitement of seeing things on television and hearing them on the radio and knowing the connection to your everyday life.

So, actually Lady Antebellum is shooting the video for one of their new singles, I just overheard that from one of the PA's...I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Welcome to Music City Singles!

Welcome to Music City Singles! This website is obviously in its infancy. Eventually it will be 100% interactive with message boards, forums, profiles and lots of other goodies. The primary mission of this website is not to hook up, meet people or get laid, but to discuss experiences, give advice, share wisdom, and create support for all of the singles in this fair city.

This website is not limited to just guys or just girls, it's not limited to those that live in Nashville. Once things get going, this will be a website you check every weekend before you go out on the 'hunt.'

To set a few ground rules, any illicit or illegal activity will be reported to the Metro Nashville Police Department. Please do not dicuss your use of drugs, driving under the influence or any other illegal activities. Your safety is important to us!

That's all for now, I am totally open to comments, suggestions and other things. I look forward to hearing from you in the future and hope you find this blog beneficial and help create and generate more and more content to get the gears rolling.

See you soon!
